College Preferences Assessment + Consulting Service
Students work alone (or with parents) to go through a list of several options of characteristics that best represent what they are looking for in a college and rank them in 4 different categories. As an example, some of the options include desired college activities, culture, types of majors, geographic locations and many, many more characteristics. This activity will be extremely helpful in narrowing down college list of colleges to apply to. This helps to reduce precious time needed to find the perfect fit college where they can thrive and be successful.
Once they’ve completed this task, students will schedule a session to work one-on-one with one of our coaches.
During the session, the student and coach discuss the students’ choices to really dig deep to see what’s truly important and to see if the student had any specific questions about some of the choices that may not have been fully understood.
After the session, your student will get a print out of all of their selections which will be extremely helpful in narrowing down their college list of preferred colleges to apply to, based on the student’s own choices and selections! This helps to reduce precious time needed to find the perfect fit college where they can thrive and be successful.

As students learn and grow in their understanding of what’s expected in college, their choices may change a lot from year to year. It’s important to see the progression and to understand what’s truly important to the student particularly before senior year.
